Chicago Cubs Minor League Report

While the big league Cubs continue to scuffle the past two weeks have yielded some major developments for the franchise’s rebuilding efforts.  After drafting Albert Almora in the first round of last week’s draft the Cubbies followed up with the 9 year $30 million commitment to 20 year old Cuban outfielder Jorge Soler.  Assuming Chicago gets Almora signed this summer the addition of two highly regarded outfield prospects should brighten the spirits of even the most skeptical of Wrigley faithful.  Let’s take our weekly spin around the Cubs’ minor league system.
