Bacon Related Update: Norfolk Tides Salute to Bacon

If you’re in the Norfolk area, or anywhere along the Eastern seaboard, with a hankering for bacon and a ballgame the Norfolk Tides may have the cure for what ails you.  The Tides are having a “Salute to Bacon Night” tonight, July 13.  The event will feature an attempt at constructing the World’s largest BLT sandwich at more than 300 feet long.  Fans will be able to purchase a piece of the gargantuan sandwich during the game with all proceeds going to charity.  Other in-game events include a bacon eating contest and drawings for fans to win a year’s supply of bacon.  Check out the team’s website for details.
