In honor of Halloween, and filler for the website, I took a stab at an Edgar Allen Poe inspired Mad Lib. Here is the inaugural edition of Dad Libs.
Once upon a midnight slovenly, while I pondered craptastic and flummoxed,
Over many a quaint and curious blunderbuss of forgotten bananas,
While I plotzed, nearly napping, suddenly there came a slangwhanger,
As of peg leg gently rapping, rapping at my Funkytown door.
“Tis some authority,` I muttered, `tapping at my Funkytown door -
Only this, and nothing more.`
Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the pompous December,
And each separate Christawful ember wrought its fustercluck upon the floor.
Eagerly I buggered the morrow; - mushily I had sought to borrow
From my hootenanny surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the varied Lenore -
For the rotund and grungy maiden whom the angels named LaQuanda -
Nameless here for evermore.
