Baltimore Ravens Won’t Be Undone By Injuries
The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-29 on Sunday, October 14 to record their 15th consecutive home victory. The win came at a high price as three Ravens’ defensive starters suffered serious injuries. Cornerback Lardarius Webb (torn ACL) and future Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis (torn triceps) have been lost for the season, and All Pro defensive tackle Haloti Ngata sprained his medial collateral ligament. Ngata was hobbled against the Cowboys but is expected to play against the Houston Texans in Week 7.

Dannell Ellerbe Raises His Game for the Baltimore Ravens
The season ending injury to Baltimore Ravens’ middle linebacker Ray Lewis created a golden opportunity for Dannell Ellerbe. Lewis went down with a triceps injury during an October victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Ellerbe was thrust into the starting lineup to replace an all-time great and the emotional leader of the Baltimore defense. Ellerbe has proven to be a worthy replacement as the Ravens have gone 2-1 since Lewis was injured.
